Test the actual color pair

Launch page color contrast checker

Check a landing-page text color against its background using the WCAG relative-luminance formula. The result shows separate AA and AAA thresholds for normal and large text.

Example: #777777 on #ffffff is approximately 4.48:1. It falls below 4.5:1 for normal AA text; a rounded display never changes the pass decision.

What this tool cannot establish

  • Only opaque #RGB or #RRGGBB colors are supported. Gradients, background images, transparency, hover states and actual browser rendering need separate checks.
  • A passing color pair is not an accessibility audit. Large text is at least 18pt, or 14pt bold. Results follow unrounded values.
