Methodology

Every rule that decides what you see.

A directory is only worth citing if its rules are written down. These are ours. If we change one, the change goes here first.

How ranking works

Boards are sorted by points, descending, with the more recent launch breaking a tie. Points are community votes plus an AI listing score between 3 and 10 that is computed from the listing itself: description depth, an image, a category, verification, a stated pricing model, a tagline and a linked X account. The score is not a vote, nobody can buy it or request it, and it is recomputed from the listing every night. The tool page shows the two parts separately.

An editor’s pick is a labelled editorial choice. It is not a vote and it does not move points.

Daily, weekly and monthly boards use the same sort over a rolling window: the last 1, 7 and 30 days of launch dates. A tool can appear on all three at once. The top three positions on a board carry a seal; positions below three carry only the number.

What counts as a vote

  • One vote per person per tool, keyed on the server from the request signature.
  • Votes are not weighted by account age, by who cast them, or by anything else.
  • Votes stay counted after the launch day ends. Boards are records, not countdowns.
  • Coordinated voting is against the rules. Our stated policy: where we find it, the votes are removed, and where it is deliberate, the product is delisted.

How the queue is ordered

Between 3 and 4 launches a day, depending on the date. A submission takes the next date with room on it, and its position within the day is the order in which submissions verified their domain. Both the date and the position are shown to you before you verify, and neither moves afterwards unless you ask us to move it.

Launching is free for everyone right now. A paid fast-track arrives later; when it does, it will change only your date — never your position within the day, your votes or your ranking — and its rules will be published here before the first one is sold.

Featured seats are a small number per day, first come first served among makers who book a date ahead. A featured seat changes where the listing is shown on its launch day, never its points, its board position or its link.

A launched listing can relaunch once it has been live at least 30 days, and at most once every 30 days after that. A relaunch is the same listing at the same URL with a new launch date: it goes back on the day board for that date, and the board only counts votes cast from the new date onward, so a relaunch has to earn its points again instead of resurfacing old ones. The original launch date, its closing vote count, and every earlier relaunch stay on the page as visible history, and the maker writes one required line about what changed since the last launch, shown on the page next to the new date.

Why some pages are noindex

A listing is only marked indexable when it carries an original description over a hundred words, an image (a screenshot, a logo, or the fetched preview image), at least one category, and a status of launched or seeded (a compiled listing available to claim). Anything below that renders with a noindex tag.

This is deliberate and it costs us pages. A directory that publishes ten thousand thin entries is scaled content, it degrades the index for readers, and it eventually collapses in search. We would rather have fewer pages that are worth reading.

What money can and cannot buy

  • Can: a founding sponsor slot in the rail, clearly labelled, with rel="sponsored nofollow" on the link. Launching itself is free for everyone right now; a paid fast-track (an earlier date, clearly marked) arrives later.
  • Cannot: a position on any board, a vote, a category placement, a medal, removal of a competitor, or a change to another product’s listing.
  • Never conditioned on anything: the dofollow link on your listing. Not on a badge, not on a link back, not on payment. Badges are optional and earned, and we do not crawl your site to check. The link exists on the page from the moment your listing is verified; the page itself is indexed by search engines once its description passes 100 original words, which the submit form and dashboard both count for you live.

How we verify guide rows

The comparison guides state, for each platform, whether a listing is free and whether the link to your site is dofollow. Those cells are checked, not copied from the platform’s marketing. For each row we fetch the submit page for its status code and the exact free path, then fetch a real listing page with a browser user agent and read the rel attribute on the anchor that points at the listed product. No nofollow, ugc or sponsored value on a direct link counts as dofollow; a link that goes through a redirect or tracker does not.

Pages that are rendered only in the browser are marked unverifiable and left out of the table rather than guessed. Where a site blocks automated access, we read the rel attribute on the Internet Archive’s stored copy of the listing page and show that snapshot date as the verification date. Every row shows the date it was last checked; rows we could not re-check keep their earlier date, and the visible “last updated” stamp on a guide is the newest of those dates, never the day the page was served.

Delisting and corrections

Some listings are compiled from public information and are labelled as unclaimed. If one of them is yours, you can find it in the index and either claim it or ask for it to be removed. Removals are honoured within 48 hours, no argument and no retention offer.

If a number on this site is wrong, tell us and we will correct it and say what changed. The full policy is in the listing policy.
