Cloud credits worth checking before you spend.
The biggest headline is rarely the amount every startup receives. Start with eligibility, then check whether the services you actually use qualify.
Official terms reviewed 1 October 2026. Amounts below are US dollars. Toolfound does not award credits or claim a partnership with these providers.
Which path should you check first?
- Starting without an investor referral: check Azure's starter path.
- Building on Cloudflare: compare its bootstrapped tier with the limits on the services you need.
- Already backed by an approved startup partner: check GitHub's funding and new-customer requirements.
Microsoft Azure

Who can apply
- Follow the current no-investor-code startup signup path.
- Country availability, account identity, payment method and previous-credit eligibility apply.
Limits and billing
- US dollars, not euros; cloud usage credit, not cash.
- Regional availability and individual eligibility require provider verification.

Tier 3 lists US$10,000 credits; higher partner-funded tiers have different limits
Who can apply
- Tier 3 describes bootstrapped/self-funded startups under US$1M raised.
- Provider also lists company age, public website, social presence, domain email and first-time application criteria.
- Cloudflare also lists a recent-funding requirement. If you are bootstrapped, ask it to confirm eligibility for Tier 3 before planning around the credit.
Limits and billing
- Valid one year or until exhausted.
- Tier 3 Workers AI cap US$2,500; R2 cap US$10,000.
- AI Gateway and registrar excluded; valid payment method and overage/expiry billing terms apply.
The largest advertised allowance applies to a different tier. Check the allowance and service limits approved for your own startup.

Who can apply

- New to Enterprise, or no Enterprise plan within prior six months; no previous startup credits/licenses.
Limits and billing
- Credits apply to approved Enterprise account, not transferable cash.
- Active products move to paid billing when credit or period expires.
- A free trial alone is not acceptance into the credit program.
Apply through GitHub after checking its approved startup partners. Toolfound does not award these credits.
Read GitHub's official requirementsBefore activating anything
- Use the correct business account. Check previous-program eligibility and whether a referral is required.
- Write down the credit expiry, service-specific limits and billing currency. A total credit balance may not cover every service.
- Set a budget alert and inspect spending limits in the provider console. An alert is not necessarily a spending cap.
- Schedule a review before expiry. Stop or resize services you do not want to pay for after the credit ends.
